Full day in quarantine

Hello, my dear readers, how was your day?

I am happy to say that my day was so full that I do not even know when the time flew by. It’s an amazing thing to happen, because we are in full lockout due to the Coronavirus situation.

I am trying to stay inside so that I can protect myself and the other people out there, by not contacting the virus and spreading it. I am staying inside as I am told to, safe and protected.

A few days ago I was reading another blogger’s post with ideas on what you should do on a quarantine day. So, Saturday for me was my free day and I decided to fill it out with something, anything.

I did not had to look out much for ideas as I had to cleanup the house and more. So I started simple, with a coffee. Then I managed to clean the kitchen, the cabinets, throwing out the unnecessary things, spraying the windows, washing the curtain, wipe the dust and use the vacuum cleaner.

I made sure to wash clothes and blankets and to iron the clothes as well. Cleaned the carpets throughout the house, aired the rooms. Moreover, a thing that I tend to do often with the virus situation, clean the bathroom and appliances that may be a source of infection.

Took care of the bedroom and changed the sheets, the blanket, sprayed the window, added the freshly washed and ironed curtain and removed any strand of dust that was present.

After cleaning all the house, I felt hungry and needed to cook something, so I managed to cook pasta and to bake a simple cake, personal recipe. Fifi was on the list of active chores so I washed him and cut out his nails.

After two hours of exercising I took the time to enjoy a hot bath and to listen to piano relaxing music. Now, at the end of the day, I am writing a new post and drinking a hot cup of lemon tea.

I realized that in this quarantine situation the best things that you can do is take care of you, the house and your family. Seeing the family members happy and keeping them entertained is one thing, plus seeing the house sparkling of cleanliness is like a dream come true. A dream that most of us usually did not manage to accomplish due to long shifts at work and being involved in many projects.

Now is the time to do the things that you loved doing previously but give up because of the time management. Like for example I love blogging and make an appointment every day with WordPress, reading the posts of my fellow bloggers and writing posts. Also, I would love to go back to painting and start the activity again, trying some new projects on the home walls.

What I am saying is instead of crying out loud and wishing to go outside putting in danger you and the ones around you try to focus on what you enjoy doing, make a difference. It will be a good change for you and the world.

  2. You know, what I like in your blog is the song of the day that always fits with the posts, it became a habit running the song of the day then reading the new post.

ADVICE : Dear Katherine’s readers, always play the song of the day then scroll down to read the new post.

      • Ahh, it’s fine. I guess we all are at a certain level, but we need to find new things to focus on, never be too bored or too lazy.

It’s not good, at least not for me! 😅

    • I posted on mental heath check during quarantine check it out and maybe your suggestions can be taken into consideration . Come talk about your feelings and emotions in the comments .

  3. Talk about a busy bee! You took on a house full of projects and I like the cleaning cabinets one lots because I haven’t done that in so long I’m wondering what I will find in them! Thanks for the reminder and I will be working on mine just as soon as my bit of a cold/walking pneumonia fades more. God bless you and stay safe and doing well like you are! 🤗

    • Hey, Lorenzo!
Yeah, during the cleaning session I discovered that I have a lot of pasta remained, like 6 packs 😂😂.
It’s fine, just take your time to take care of you, when the energy will return back then you should be able to start fresh and clean all the house.

Take care and stay happy! ^^

      • Hey Katherine!!! Isn’t that so good to find! Yesterday I found in my refrigerator freezer that I had another bag of frozen cheese ravioli, and a few days ago I made a large pot of homemade Italian tomato sauce, so delicious, which I had used only half of it so guess what I had for dinner last night! Tutti bella, multo bene! My sweet dog Penny must be Italian in heart because she loved this meal too, so happy after, and me too even if not feeling well the food was so good I felt happy inside! 😂😂 Of course you are so right, get over this cold in my chest and head then with spring here I will get things fresh and new; maybe I’ll find some pasta in my cupboards too! Thank you so much for the well wishes and great advice, I feel it in my heart Katherine; powerful medicine for me, the best kind! God Bless you.
Take care and Ciao! 🤗 Lorenzo

I’m back off to sleep so you have a nice morning and relax, we can touch base again soon I’m sure. Take care! 🙂
My dog she is as they say tickled pink and a happy little girl! So sweet and innocent!

  4. Katherine, are you doing well and is everything calming down in your area? Haven’t noticed you anywhere on here and it got me worried! I hope you are doing fine and mainly you are very busy catching up a home. Let me know how it is going. Thank you.
    God Bless You! 🙏

    • Hey, Lawrence, I am fine. I just took a break, I felt like I needed one.
I and my family are at home staying safe from the virus and crowds.

I hope you are fine as well. Take care! ^^

      • Katherine! Finally good to know; I was worried the virus was hitting that area too hard and you sort of went silent. I tried a couple of direct means to contact you but to no avail! Thanks for the update. I’ve been up and down for some reason with pain in the chest but no real congestion or cough which is good but today it was pretty unnoticeable until now several hours later, I have pain and chills again. One of my sisters said wait not to go to the walk in clinic it probably will be more risky that I would get ill, and especially if this isn’t the Corona I have I’m going to take a big chance being in the environment where it would be highly likely of coming in contact with! She said that a new test and procedure is being implemented very soon so I could drive up and get tested and drive away with a prick to the finger. But, in the meantime this condition is very weird, I was pretty good this morning now I feel ill? I’ll take more over the counter meds to see it that will cool things down and I’m just glad to hear that you and your family are fine, that is great news thank God! So, enjoy the time to be together and have nice times and I’m writing a fairly long article which gets into this whole China connection and how I see a couple of not so good signs that could be biblical, but just trying to keep my mind active enough to not think about how I’m feeling, only it’s not working, LOL! I will get back to you with any new news and when this is ready I’ll make sure you’re the first to know. Very good to know you are fine Katherine, God bless you and your family! ^^

  5. Hi Stephanie!
I am a newcomer to your blog & have been reading blogs all day today. I got a spot I was working on for herbs I want to have done. I use these to learn from as I put them on a USB flash drive. I add recipes too. This day I came upon a part of a website that brought about anti-viral remedies about this virus & started on venturing out to get others to chat with others they know to help bring about a new economy after listening to news & people lost in all this coronavirus mess. That is why I have been going to other blogs to see what others write about & hope they can see my blogs I have about me & the health benefits I am in to that bring me out in this havoc in our world. Have a great day!

  6. Awesome post! Very informative and easy to read! If you have a minute to spare, can you check out my first ~real~ blog post? I just published it and I am eager to promote it on social but wanted to get some other blogger insights on it first! If you like what I have to say, hit that “like” button and let me know your thoughts in the comment section! Thank you so much in advance!!

  7. Greetings! I’ve been following your site for some time now and finally got the courage to go ahead and give you a shout out from Humble Texas! Just wanted to say keep up the great job!

  8. Aw, this was a really nice post. Taking the time and actual effort to make a very good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate a lot and don’t manage to get nearly anything done.
