Life trails

Since our childhood, we are educated and advised to avoid certain items in our lives, simply because it is bad. Curious beings as we are, we always tend to hesitate and choose the forbidden way, even if it’s immoral.

We start with desserts, we are advised not to eat much and therefore we should stay away from carbs because it’s the best way, we should listen. But if we don’t, what happens?

We are all familiar with the reaction, and are punished and argued all the way through to the end because we have chosen the wrong approach. And we still do it, because we are curious and attracted to the new things that we haven’t experienced yet.

Hence, we risk indigestion, if we consume a lot of desserts. It’s known and felt by our organs. We don’t need anyone else to tell us that is bad because now we know why is good to stay away from it and eat less.

Life trails

This life is so full of fantastic things to discover and choose from, that impossible to stay away from everything. As we grow up, we get an attitude and learn to stand up for our decisions, even if they are not the greatest ones, because we think we know better.

Our parents may get tired in time and don’t have enough energy and strength to take every step with us, on this long journey of life. At some point, we arrive at a crossroads and we have to decide our next trace.

Ironically, we think that our minds are mature, that we learned everything that was to be known, and go blindfolded on the road that has the most pits and challenges. We think that this is our life and we must bear our cross, tending to forget that Jesus already did that for us.

This is how we move through life, by not knowing and confronting challenges all the time, thinking that we know everything that is to be known and then we fall again and have to start from the beginning; Stepping on burned charcoal with excitement only to suffer the burns caused after.

Life lessons

If we have mistaken our path and chosen the incorrect trail, don’t worry. Mistakes have the power to turn us into something better than we were before.

If this time we haven’t made it right, then don’t worry, we have only a thousand chances to make it as we dream, next time. Don’t be startled by the mountain ahead, the struggles that we are facing, and the chances that we are taking. The battle has just begun and we are only moving forward with faith and perseverance.

It’s important to acknowledge that God doesn’t bring us lessons to close our hearts. He brings us lessons to open them, by developing compassion, learning to listen, seeking to understand instead of speculating, practicing empathy and developing conflict resolution through communication.

If he brought us perfect people, how would we ever learn to spiritually evolve?

Rain droplets

“I looked out the window at the black clouds ahead of us. I opened the back window and smelled the rain. You could smell the rain in the desert even before a drop fell. I closed my eyes.

I held my hand out and felt the first drop. It was like a kiss. The sky was kissing me. It was a nice thought. It was something Dante would have thought. I felt another drop and then another. A kiss. A kiss. And then another kiss.”

― Benjamin Alire Sáenz, Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe

Sunday thoughts wrapped in a beautiful „YOU”

Hello, guys!

It’s been a while since I could not find the time to write my thoughts in here, on my personal page, in Kate’s World. I am really sorry, in front of you and in front of me. I am saying this because it’s been so long and I so much longed to be in here, to be writing again.

As you might think, the last few months were really busy for me. I was caught struggling between work and family, between a break and me. But, to be 100% fair, there was no ME lately, and no break as you might guess.

It took me a while to figure it out, to understand. In this big, crazy world we always concern about work&about tasks, about people and their reactions, about what they might think or feel about us.

But when should we be concerned about ourselves, when should we be on the first place?

When was the last time you asked yourself if you enjoyed your company, when was the last time you asked yourself if you liked that movie, or if you really liked that nasty food? When did you really felt comfortable enough to laugh out loud, when was the last time you were true to yourself?

Good questions you may say. But do we know the answers to these realities? Yes we do. And within ourselves we regret the choices that we made in the past and maybe today.

Be the change that you want to see in others

My idea would be that in every single week we should chose a time to be frank to ourselves, to do something that we love, to be our best version of „ME” that is hidden somewhere inside us.

Start with baby steps, chose an easier task which is convenient for the moment and for you. Do exactly the thing that defines you and says „This is me” better than anything.

Do you like singing in a cold shower early in the morning? Then do it. Do you enjoy listening to slow jazz music with a glass of sweet wine and a good book in your lap? What is stopping you?  Do you love taking small walks on the road with loud music in your headphones? Then do it.

Take 5-10 minutes of your time and do something that you really love doing, something that really satisfies you and makes you happy. Forget about what people think or talk, because they will never stop.

So what if the neighbors will be awake earlier in the morning from the noises of your crazy song and the drops of clear water? They aren’t going to stop late in the night that Dem drill anyway.

So what if there will be persons who will make funny faces at you while you walk to nowhere in your life’s voyage with noisy rock music in your ears? It is your choice not their and they don’t have any right to tell you what is better to do or not to do.

Each and every one of us has a cross to bear and a path to follow in this short life. Take what is rightfully yours and enjoy your time while you can. Stop thinking about what people will say or think, because people are people and you can’t come to an end with them.

The only person who you should think often, love and cherish is yourself. At the end of the day, what really matters is what you accomplished and how happy YOU are. The rest is just dust in the wind.

Think about that. Think About YOU!

Tuesday inspiration within quotes

Hello, dear writers and readers! Today’s post will be about awareness, better thinking and consciousness.

I have come to realize yesterday that our daily actions, our activities and the way we actually comport in various situations define who we are. We are usually advised to be ourselves and act in consequence, but should we all the time?

We have a lot of colleagues, a lot of unknown persons around us, and for a fact we know them by the surface, but are those persons really who they claim they are? Behind us we may hear often unspoken words about our behavior or our response to reality… . In the end, the way we react and behave in situations create our character and the way the entire world sees us.

So, today, Tuesday, my advice for you and me, will be to raise consciousness, to think and before talking and acting, to be aware.

And as I accustomed you in the last posts, I will enlighten you with a few motivational quotes for a better day. Hope you will enjoy!

  1. The awareness of our own strength makes us modest. Paul Cezanne

It is spontaneous awe at the sacredness of life, of being. It is gratitude for life, for awareness and for being. Thomas Merton
  6. If, then, I were asked for the most important advice I could give, that which I considered to be the most useful to the men of our century, I should simply say: in the name of God, stop a moment, cease your work, look around you.
Leo Tolstoy, Essays, Letters and Miscellanies
  7. The really important kind of freedom involves attention, and awareness, and discipline, and effort, and being able truly to care about other people and to sacrifice for them, over and over, in myriad petty little unsexy ways, every day. David Foster Wallace

  14. Once you awaken you become fully aware of your true potential. ATGW
  15. Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.   Albert Einstein

Do you hate Mondays? Start to love them!

Today is Monday. Another day, from another week, from another month and a brand new year, 2019.

I never understood why the world hated so much Mondays. Yes, I understand it’s another beginning of the week, and we need to carry our daily activities that we left on Friday before the weekend.

Returning back to work and daily week activities should not be seen as a rerun, especially if you want to make a change, and live every second of your life to the fullest.

Of course, going back to work is not easy, and for sure implies a lot of attention, hard work and perseverance but we are not lazy people and we started this journey called life with a purpose in mind.

In my opinion Mondays should not be seen as such a burden every single week, simply because:

  • We have the right to start a new journey, make a difference in people’s life, in our life;
  • We must be thankful for every day we live, thankful that we are present in now, the day that we so awful call Monday;
  • We had to opportunity to rest and start refreshed a new beginning. There are people who haven’t had a free weekend in years.

In the end, my advice is to gather all bad emotions that we accumulated in the past few days, to throw them in a basket and start a new day with positivity and good vibes.

I gathered for you a few Monday Motivation Quotes. Hope your Monday will be better!

Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, The Mistress of Spices
  4. “What about Monday? That could be our one day we look at things the same way, and wear funny shoes.”
    Kevin Dalton – Faubush Hill
  5. “Success is to wake up each morning and consciously decide that today will be the best day of your life.”
    Ken Poirot
  6. “Mindful Monday Humans, May your coffee kick in before reality does.”
    Napz Cherub Pellazo
  7. “Good Morning.
Let Monday be your friend and he will show you a wonderful week.”

How to keep calm in stressful situations

Lately, the situations around me have been extremely stressful both at work and at home. So, in a short time, I came to become from a calm and extremely patient person, to an agitated one, anxious and ready to attack in the second two.

Now, since it is Saturday, a day of relaxation and rest before next week before Easter, I set out to make a change. I will focus on changing behaviors and reducing the vibrant stress that set in the last period.

Today I want to share with you, my dear readers, some of the methods I want to address in avoiding stress and keeping more calm as I possible can.

What is stress?

Dex define: STRESS, stresses, (Med.) General term used for any environmental factor (trauma, emotion, cold, heat, etc.) capable of causing a state of tension and a reaction to the human, sometimes causing serious illnesses; p. ext. an unfavorable effect on the body of the beings by an environmental factor.

How to keep calm in stressful situations?

The fact that we are in a constant hurry to quench our energy. Work, everyday routine and unexpected situations make our patience and calm to the test, overwhelming us. Therefore, several important steps that we must follow in this case are:

Breathe and Expire. Breathe and expire deep 5 times. Imagine how all the tension disappears from your body after each expiration and smiles.
Relax. After the breath / expiration process, analyze your body and identify exactly which areas are embedded and tense. Slowly massage the affected areas and imagine yourself in a place that could calm you down: at the beach, in the mountains or even in a hot tub with water.
Do not get attached, just give up. As strange as it may seem, giving up a stressful situation is very often, indicated. Stressing and worrying will not improve the situation because you are already involved in the act. So keep your head up and give up, simply say No.
If you have a great goal, divide it into small successes. Always focusing on the end result can become exhausting because it takes a lot of time and patience. Stop focusing on negative thoughts. Being able to give you positive feedback will help you grow in patience, courage and find more joy in fulfilling a goal.
What would someone else do in this situation? Another way to avoid stress is to imagine what another person would do in this situation. Just ask yourself, what would „Z” do in this situation? „Z” can be anyone, your favorite hero from the last book read, the character most adored from a movie or even at some point in your life. Because „YOU” are strong.
Look at the picture as a whole. When you find yourself in a stressful situation, stop, breathe deeply. Ask yourself if you lose your temper now, this will still matter: next week, next month, over the next 10 years? The answer, you know it too, I know it, it will not matter to you! What’s the point of agonizing in a passenger pain that we probably will not remember next week?
Do not ask for the impossible! No one is perfect and it’s okay. Perfection has never existed, nor will it exist. Asking perfection from a person and even from you is stressful and impossible.
Put your patience to the test every day. You may be laughing because every day patience is being challenged by external factors. Why would we try to gamble with our luck? The answer is simple. As we practice, our patience will become more malleable and we will be able to react differently to the unknown, without stress and nerves, only with calm and perseverance.
Be present in TODAY. When you have many things to do and need to be active 24/24, both at work and at home, do not overstretch your thoughts and energy on tomorrow. You live today, you are present today in the actions today and that’s it. Because tomorrow will come anyway, and it does not make sense to think today for tomorrow and tomorrow for today.
Take care of yourself, and listen to your thoughts frequently. Around us, we are attacked everywhere in every direction, and in some cases there is no one around to give us the sense of comfort and safety. Plan more to take care of yourself. Respect your thoughts and desires, love yourself. If you love yourself enough then other persons will do it too.

Remember, dear reader, you are the sky… the rest of the things that are happening are only part of the weather.

Tu esti prost?/ Are you stupid?

In rutina cotidiana ascult in fiecare zi opinii, pareri diverse cu voia si fara voia mea.

Astfel, fiind automat introdus in categoria despre care discutam azi, prost/proasta.
  3. O persoana educata in domeniu isi sfatuieste subalternii sa incerce o solutie mai putin ortodoxa pentru o chestiune nemaintalnita pana in prezent.
  6. De asemenea, clipele in care persoanele nu isi doresc sa se supuna in fata persoanelor mature si selecteaza optiunea cea mai grea – de a face lucrurile conform dorintelor personale.

English version

In my everyday routine I listen to opinions every day, different opinions and without my will. Sometimes I end up being caught in a random conversation, sometimes hearing without even wanting around me, sick beliefs and ideas.

One of the most common ideas is: „He/She is stupid!”

But what does the word „stupid”  really mean?

According to dex, stupid, poor, (Man) lacking intelligence, without judgment, without mind; stupid who trusts easily; (human) naive, I think. (Person) without book science; (man) untrained, ignorant.

Lately, I have also analyzed these behaviors and assessments of people’s behaviors from strangers.
To categorize a person as stupid is not difficult, in fact, it is even extremely easy. Especially if you are unfamiliar and want to find yourself in the business, speaking out of your mind, to attract the attention of those around you.

How to figure out when a person is really not stupid

First of all, it is not worthy to categorize a bad person without being aware of it. Let’s give you some examples:

– The most common case is where a man does not know what he is talking about when he is poorly informed. In this situation, people are not documented about the problem that is going on at the time, but they want to solve it as quickly and efficiently as possible.
– An employee mistakes a service task that seems simple in the opinion of his colleagues. Thus, being automatically introduced into the category we are discussing today, dumb / stupid.
–  A person educated in the field advises subordinates to try a less orthodox solution to a matter that has not yet been addressed.
– A person captures the nets of a new task and asks for a more advanced person’s advice. The problem is simple, but the person in question does not realize the moment and is again introduced into the bad / stupid class.
–  A man wants to choose a certain way in life, being stubborn and wishing to go along that road.
–  Also, the moments when people do not want to obey in front of mature people and select the hardest option – to do things according to your personal wishes.
– When a person does not fit in so well-appreciated and encouraged social categories, when a person is different and beautiful in her/his own way.

Conclusions and personal ideas

The situations described above are met in everyday life, by myself, and by you, you who read me today. I listed just a few of the happenings that occur every day, but the reality is much larger.

No one was born smart and no one is 100% perfect. We are people and defects, mistakes define us every day, one way or the other. At the end of the day, we have to be big enough to recognize our mistakes, smart enough to learn from them, and strong enough to straighten them out.

The person that you point your finger today and categorize it as stupid can be yourself, at some point in your life, in a certain situation. In fact, you look in the mirror of the oter persons’s eyes, directing your frustrations and deceptions from this life.

And if you expect too much from those around you, do not do it anymore. You are criticized when you are wrong and gossiped when you succeed. So, your only direction and your only goal in life must be success.
