Visiting Nessebar, part III

At the Bulgarian hotel, every day of this short week was fantastic. I used to wake up and admire the black sea in the early morning, embrace the silence and listen to the ocean waves. You could hear the loud seagulls, see the pool area cleaned up by the staff, watch old couples take a stroll or plan for another day of standing by the beach. It was so calm and yet so impressive. I enjoyed each and every minute of it.

We noticed the animation team from Sol Nessebar Palace on Wednesday. It was, in truth, a coincidence, an unplanned encounter. We just walked by, wanting to have a cold drink at one of the nearby restaurants, and then they stopped us and asked if we were going to play their games.

To be honest, we were reluctant at the beginning, not knowing what games they were playing or understanding their requests. So we said, in the end, yes, why not, and joined the other group of people.

One thing is for sure, you can’t get shy or hesitant about these people from the animation team. They have such a positive energy and a great vibe, they unconsciously persuade you to be a part of their contest with their practices.

I learned to shoot with a bow and a shotgun for the first time in my life. I had to recognize, I had concerns and I felt like I was going to fail and make a spectacle of myself, but in the end, it wasn’t that bad, but on the opposite. I learned fun new activities, had fun and met wonderful new people.

I had instances when I failed at these games, when I forgot how to hold my bow straight, but then I had great shots as well and felt proud of myself. All those moments were brilliant, and these people do a great job in keeping people happy, amused and feeling like escaping for a tiny moment from life.

We meet a beautiful couple during these games, Frans and Karen. They visited Bulgaria for the second time now, and in fairness we felt in love with their positive energy and a desire to succeed at the hotel competitions. They were the first to win, had great shots from the distance and we were simply amazed by them.

Since meeting them, we met unexpectedly during meals, went to Nessebar old town together, played pool, told jokes and shared our life stories. It was like meeting old friends we always knew.

Our time has went so quickly since meeting this couple, that we haven’t even noticed that it was time to come home. We engaged in the animation team, attended their events, enjoyed the sunshine, wandered along the sea, had soft drinks in the hotel bar and spent time with Karen and Frans.

I think that’s what’s happening when you spend time with people of high quality, you love it so much that you don’t realize when it’s over.

The holiday to Bulgaria was something incredible, a good life experience and a great breath of air in the 2020 sad and burdened by Coronavirus year. It has changed our lives for the better, it has given us confidence and belief that we can go through every challenge that may follow.

We met exciting, wonderful people, with fun personalities, we explored places we had never visited, we experienced new adventures. We discovered that if we believe in it and trust in ourselves, we can go wherever we want.

At the end of the day, life is just a journey and we are simple travelers. It is important to live every moment to the fullest, to get out of the house once in a while and breathe fresh new air, visit different places, meet new people.

At the end of the room, lays the real world you dream of, don’t be so shy and hide behind the closet. Remember to open the door and free yourself from the negativity while walking across the wet sand and the waves of the sea.
