Reteta de Musaca cu cartofi si carne tocata, fix ca la mama acasa!/Musaca recipe with potatoes and minced pork meat, just like mom makes at home!

Buna ziua, dragii mei! Astazi va voi prezenta felul de mancare – MUSACA.

Musaca – este un aliment ce provine din bucataria tarilor din Balcani si Orientul Indepartat. Cuvantul „Musaca” provine din Limba araba si inseamna „servit rece”.

  • carne tocata de porc;
  • ceapa tocata marunt;
  • usturoi tocat marunt;
  • sare si piper;
  • ketchup;
  • cascaval Dalia;
  • cartofi piure.

Pofta buna!

English version

Hello, my dear ones! Today I will show you the kind of food – MUSACA.
Musaca is a food that comes from the cuisine of the Balkan countries and the Far East.
The word „Musaca” comes from Arabic and means „served cold”.

  • minced pork;
  • onion finely chopped;
  • garlic chopped;
  • salt and pepper;
  • ketchup;
  • Dalia cheese;
  • mashed potatoes.

Method of preparation:

In a frying pan, add the meat and cook it at low temperature. In the end add onion and garlic with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Pre-cooked mashed potatoes. I prepare mashed potatoes using sour cream and a top of a knife of butter, along with a pinch of salt.

Place a baking sheet in a tray to prevent the composition from being caught. Then add a layer of puree and a layer of the meat composition made before, followed by another layer of puree. On the top add tomato sauce (I used ketchup) and shred a layer of Dalia cheese.

Put the tray in the oven to medium heat for 30 minutes.
In the end the Musaca dish can be served with pickled cucumbers and even sour cream according to your preference.

Good appetite!

My answers to Libarah Questions are:

  1. Whom you are close to more Mom or Dad?

At this question I don’t have a real answer. I like to think that I am close to both of them and I like to thank to both of them for all the support and good guiding in life.

2. What is your favorite food?

I can’t say I have a favorite food. I believe in the quote: „You are what you eat” and try to build and good and balanced menu for every day of my life.

3. Who is your idol of life?

I don’t have an idol. I like to believe in myself and make the best of it.

4. What do you consider your greatest weakness to be?

I used to talk a lot. Most of the time I don’t think it through, I got messy in time and did a lot of tasks in the same time without a logic. But I am trying to get better and make from myself a good person.

5. What does your perfect day look like?

My perfect day is that day when all the things are going good and I don’t have issues or complaints. My perfect day lingers around the loved ones and my family.

6. Do you consider yourself a good friend?

I like to consider myself the best friend, as long as the other person shares my opinion and have the same desires as I do.

7.What is your favorite thing to do?

I like to write and I like to sketch. I like to be creative and I like to be good at what I do.

8. Have you ever been heartbroken?

To that question. my dear Libarah, I can answer that in each and every day life hits you. To be heartbroken it means to be weak most of the time, and you don’t want to be weak and to seem weak. I used to be heartbroken, I had issues in love and life and I like to think that every time when I got heartbroken I learnt a lesson.

9. Would you rather be rich or famous?

I think these two are synonyms, to be rich means to be famous in a certain measure. But I guess I will chose to be HAPPY.

10. What does the meaning of  love to you?

Love is the most powerful and strong feeling in the world. If you can feel love it means you are blessed, and if you feel the love then you found the meaning of life.

11. What makes you feel most loved?

Back in the days when I was a student and worked a lot I remember that I wanted to be a part of something, to be involved and have a family. I remember I used to watch the windows of my neighbors and saw people laughing, I saw children smiles and I saw happiness. In those years all I could feel was loneliness, rush and routine.

Now I feel loved when after a long day of work I came home and find my family, my husband and my cat. I feel loved when I feel the warmth of my house, and almost I can taste the love and the feeling of belonging.
